DoorDash IPOs I The Rise Of The Chief Wellbeing Officer

One of the most exciting parts about working on something like the Forbes Under 30 list is that we spot people early in their career. That means that though people might make the list for their work at one company, years later you'll spot them somewhere else. But there's a reason it is a list of people, not companies; we look for individuals that are going to make an impact regardless of where their professional journey takes them.

A recent example is Lizz Warner, who previously served as an Editorial Video Director over at BuzzFeed. Like many in the media field, Warner was furloughed when Covid-19 began spreading like wildfire across the country earlier this year. But innovation can't be quarantined, so under lockdown she put all of her skills (and savings) into launching video-based dating app Gleam, which launched earlier this week. In a crowded field, the new dating site caters to busy young people by eliminating monotonous back-and-forth inherent in modern dating by scheduling quick video chats for you. It's like Calendly, but for your dating life.
