What surprised you about SwiftUI when making the course?

"I was surprised by how quickly I fell in love with SwiftUI’s previews!

They’re excellent for designing custom views and testing them out in isolation. In the past, when working with UIKit, I might have created a playground with a live view to experiment with UI. Now, I can easily whip up a little SwiftUI view and take a look at it right in the canvas.

When you want to see your views in context, you can also pin specific previews to the canvas so they’ll stick around as you preview other views.

It’s also dead simple to test out animations with live previews! You can tweak your animation properties and watch the preview update in real-time. I suggest making multiple versions within one preview and comparing the animations side-by-side."
