Vox Sentences - Give the gift of understanding

In April, Vox started asking our readers for financial contributions — and we have been blown away by the support. Contributions from people like you help us rely less on advertisers and enable us to keep our ambitious work free.

We made podcasts to help parents inform their children about the coronavirus without making them anxious. We explained the financial case for defunding the police, inspiring new legislation to address the cost of police misconduct. We helped people understand who gets to vote in America, as well as ideas for election reform. We made video explainers on the coronavirus crisis that governments around the world used to help their constituents understand how to stay safe — all from our homes across the country.

We have exciting plans for new podcasts, shows, and coverage areas in 2021 — including answering people’s questions about the vaccine and what is hopefully the end of the pandemic.
