Laravel 8.18.0 added methods to test HTML and plain-text email bodies for mailables. These methods are documented, but I’d like to walk through a simple example to illustrate how useful these can be.

Laravel 8.20 Released

The Laravel team released 8.20 this week with cache lock connection configuration, the ability to provide default values when syncing a pivot table, and the latest changes in the 8.x branch.

Flysystem v2

Version 2 of Flysystem is now released and many of the library’s core design elements have been brushed up and improved. The API is reduced while keeping the same functionality. Error handling is now purely exception-based, and directory listings are now backed by generators.
