Album Daily - New era

Hi everyone 👋🏼

Over the past year I have had the pleasure of getting to connect with you all through music. Album Daily has been an immensely fun project that I have built from the ground up. However, there are some exciting changes coming in my life that I'll need to devote more time and energy, but I wanted to make sure Album Daily was able to continue to grow. 

That's why I'm excited to introduce Andrew, Lowell and Matt. We got connected a few months ago and I'm confident they're the perfect people to continue delivering to you all the quality music curation that you've come to expect. I'm also excited for some of the new ideas they're hoping to bring to Album Daily. 

I'll let them introduce themselves below but for the next week I'm excited to bring you a very special week of Album Daily. This week, which will be my final week at the helm of Album Daily, I'll be sending out my favorite albums of 2020.  At the start of a new year, it's the perfect time to reflect on all of the amazing albums that came out of an otherwise tough year.

Hi All!

Andrew, Lowell and Matt here! We wanted to briefly introduce ourselves and most importantly, our musical taste. We're so thrilled to be able to take over this project from Henry and see where we can grow it. 

Hey friends, Andrew here! I'm a native Minnesotan turned Hoosier and spend my days analyzing data for software companies. My music taste is definitely a bit all over the place - from The Beatles to Bryce Vine, pluko to Anderson .Paak - there are very few artists or genres I don't enjoy ... but its always a bonus if it's something I can dance to! For me though, nothing is better than geeking over a newly discovered artist with some friends. Can't wait to find more of those hidden gems together! 

I'm Lowell! I'm a Mechanical Engineer by trade but now I work with startups and help them grow their e-commerce presence. I grew up listening to Bluegrass music, my dad plays guitar and mandolin, but now I listen to everything from indie-electronica to folk to hip-hop. Some of my favorite artists are Dawes, John Mayer and Justice. If I had to pick, I'd say my favorite album of all time was Brothers by The Black Keys. I'm so excited to connect with you all and learn about your music tastes!

Hi there! My name's Matt and I'm so pumped to bring you all some amazing music to discover every week. I grew up jamming to your usual rap and pop but ever since entering the grown up world as a young professional I've dove deep into Indie rock, all flavors of electronic, and would say I can get down to just about anything funky and saxy. I've frequently got Griz, Cage The Elephant, and Mac Miller on repeat but I'm excited to figure out what music you all like and go hunt down those tunes as well! See ya online.

In the short-term, don't expect anything to change with the way you're receiving your music. We'll keep that the same while we gather some feedback and get used to the system. We have some ideas we're excited to bring to you all over the coming year, from new ways of getting you the albums you love to introducing more unknown indie and local artists. We'd love to hear from you though! What's one thing you love about Album Daily and one thing you might change? As always, if you have any music suggestions, please let us know!

Henry- thanks so much for building Album Daily into what it is. We're excited and honored to be able to build on its legacy.
