Forbes - A New Lockdown In The UK

The U.S. isn’t the only country experiencing an unprecedented surge of Covid-19 cases right now. Equally, if not more, hard-hit is the U.K., where an estimated one in fifty people in England had Covid-19 last week. It’s an astonishing statistic, one that has prompted another round of heavy lockdowns around the country. As of today, schools are closed once again and U.K. citizens have been warned not to travel outside the area. The government also just  issued a $6.2 billion support package to help struggling businesses. One of the hypothesized reasons for the swell of cases is a new variant of Covid-19, which is thought to be more transmissible. As this new variant makes its way around the globe, will more countries have to go back into lockdown again?
