How To Make A Career Change | Why CEOs Are More Trusted Than The Government | Curbing Bad Employee Behavior

Hi Forbes Careers readers,

With tomorrow’s Presidential Inauguration, I’m sure change is top of mind for everyone this week. By now, we’re deep into New Year’s resolutions and changes that we may or may not keep (looking at you, Whole30 plan), but I’d advise some further introspection. Take some time to consider whether a
career transformation or workplace shakeup is right for you.

Dip your toes into the job search by revising your LinkedIn profile. Focus on updating these five aspects so that it supports your career change. Of course, looking for a new job during a pandemic is stressful, to say the least. To navigate the job market purposefully and land the job of your dreams, keep these six strategies in mind. If you are happy with your company, but feeling somewhat uninspired in your role, it’s time to hit the “refresh button.” Try these tips out at work to fuel your purpose and passion.

Cheers,

Kristin

P.S. How does a founder and CEO like Howie Liu give up some control to others and trust newcomers with his cloud software company Airtable? Check out this interesting read from Forbes CEO Network Senior Editor Steve Bertoni on why Liu built a C-suite of outside, tech veterans during the pandemic.

Overcome Obstacles
