ElasticSearch changed the licensing model of Elastic (the open source library) due to AWS not collaborating with the open source community. In response, AWS forked Elastic into their own version. Get ready for more fights between open source communities vs. cloud vendors.

Here is Stratechery’s analysis of all of the major strategic problems Intel is facing.
Databricks is reportedly raising their next funding round at a $27B valuation. A huge congrats to my partner Alfred who was one of their earliest investors as they were spinning out from UC Berkeley.
