Why Female CEOs Are So Rare | This Company Makes Org Charts Public | Five Ways To Impress Your Boss

Hi Forbes Careers readers,

While we’ve quickly tired of the Bernie Sanders inauguration meme that we were blessed with last week, there’s one image I’ll never get over: all of the women present on Inauguration Day. It was a
historic day for female leaders, from the swearing-in of Vice President Kamala Harris to the powerful reading by National Youth Poet Laureate Amanda Gorman.

But as much as we collectively extol Harris’ historic inauguration, we should also recognize that seeing a Black woman ascend to the highest levels of leadership is rare. Check out this new research, which suggests that the problem doesn’t necessarily stem from women’s lack of negotiating skills. For women looking to shine in a more flexible work environment, here is a list of the 28 best remote-friendly companies for women, courtesy of FlexJobs.

Until next week,

Kristin

P.S. Last week, Washington Governor Jay Inslee announced that the state is partnering with Starbucks, Microsoft, Costco and others to help distribute the Covid-19 vaccine. This is how your company can partner with governments to distribute the vaccine efficiently and effectively.
