Since moving to Manhattan to study design, Teniola “Tia” Adeola has exploded onto runways with her specific brand of fashion, featuring artifacts she refers to as “wearable art pieces.” From ruffled face coverings to subversive organza dresses, Adeola’s work takes nods from Renaissance art and yet expands upon it, injecting into it a more playful sexuality and reframing outdated narratives by putting women and BIPOC at the forefront of the conversation.

The Zoe Report recently caught up with Adeola after an anything-but-ordinary year.
