Forbes - A Stormy Vaccine Rollout

A massive storm is pummeling the East Coast, forcing Covid-19 vaccination sites to close. The vaccine effort has been slowly ramping up over the past few weeks, and now nearly 8% of the U.S. population has been vaccinated against Covid-19. But all vaccinations aren’t created equal. According to data released by the CDC today, Black and Hispanic Americans have been vaccinated at a much lower rate than white Americans. In terms of vaccine effectiveness, Dr. Fauci confirmed today that our current vaccines aren’t as effective against new, more contagious strains of Covid-19 that have been increasingly circulating the globe. But they’re still worth taking, and still prevent almost all serious cases of Covid-19 and hospitalizations. So if you’re offered a vaccine, take it! And in other news, the CDC has issued a new order saying that not wearing a mask on public transit is a federal crime.
