We just launched the book update for our Intermediate iOS Programming with Swift book. Now the book fully supports Xcode 12. Other than ensuring its compatibility with the latest version of iOS & Xcode. We also added a number of new content. For example, the WidgetKit framework and Compositional Layout. To learn more about the book, please check it out here.
Apple just released Xcode 12.5 Beta. I haven’t tried out the beta yet, but according to its release, one new feature is that you can record animated GIFs using the built-in simulator:
Simulator can create animated GIFs from video recordings using the new Record Video feature. After recording a video, right-click on the video preview, then select Save as Animated GIF. To keep both the video file and the animated GIF, press and hold Option and select Save Copy as Animated GIF. You can adjust the dimensions and size of the generated GIFs in Simulator Preferences.
As always, I hope you enjoy the tutorials we collected for you. Have a great weekend!
Talk soon,
Simon
