I talked with a married couple about their finances — see what happened

Today, I have a special Valentine’s Day treat. 

We’re going to talk about love and money. It’s not going to be the epitome of romance à la an oceanside candle-lit dinner, but it will be intimate. And it will be very real.

How many couples out there have fights about money? “She doesn’t save enough.” “He doesn’t care about paying off debt.” “We don’t earn enough.” “I want to buy a house. They don’t.” "Why did you buy that!?!" And on and on and on.

Most of us have dealt with money issues at some point in our relationship, and married couple Philip and Angela are no different. I spoke with them live on Instagram about their current financial situation. They run a new business together, have different saving and spending habits, and ultimately want to feel like they’re moving forward. 

Before you watch, I have to give credit to Angela and Philip for their honesty and vulnerability. This is tough stuff to share with your partner, let alone reveal to the entire world. So a big thank you to them for sharing.
