France is buzzing with NFT startups

Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) shot out of obscurity, becoming a global phenomenon in recent weeks. Amid the buzz, France has staked a surprising claim as an epicentre of the virtual gold rush.

French NFT startup Arianee, which certifies the ownership of virtual luxury foods, raised €9m and NFT-based fantasy football platform Sorare raised a €40m round.

We find out more.

\Startup Life

What is On Deck?

On Deck, a ‘modern education institution’ which runs programmes to help people do everything from starting a company to launching a podcast to taking on a chief of staff role, grew like wildfire in 2020 — and 2021 is set to be much, much bigger.

It's now launching one new programme per week and has rave reviews from almost everyone who's ever participated in it.

“It’s cult-like. A wholesome cult," one On Deck 'fellow' told Sifted.

Amy Lewin finds out what else it has planned.

But hold back! We find out why those first customers aren’t always the right ones.

Fastest-growing European B Corps

A B Corp stamp means that a company has met high standards of social and environmental performance.

It’s arguably the most desired of planet-friendly certifications — but getting certified isn't easy.

To date, 100k companies have applied and only 3.5k have managed to pass. 600 of those are in Europe, and we ran through which of them are showing the most promising growth.

See the list.
