Dear AD PRO Community,

There is so much going on in the design community all the time it can be hard to keep up. One of our goals at AD PRO is to help you cut through the clutter by delivering news you need to know and info you can actually use.

Regarding the latter subject, this week I want to highlight the work of AD PRO’s Associate Editor Mel Studach who tirelessly covers the market for us. In addition to keeping up with manufacturers about everything that’s new, she also reaches out to a wide circle of designers to ask them what pieces they’re really excited about—and actually sourcing. It gives us all insight into what you, the pros, are looking for and using in your own projects.

Knowing that everyone loves a good recommendation from a respected advisor, Mel has been producing a series of articles reporting on and rounding up the go-to choices of designers across the country. Her recent pieces on the best oven ranges, refrigerators, and dishwashers are full of illuminating insights. She’s also polled top designers about never-fail paint colors, the absolute best home office desk chair, and mattresses. And there are many more of these stories in the works.

We are grateful to everyone who has generously shared their thoughts for this series so far, and we know that all of our members have something to say on all of these subjects. So be on the lookout, Mel may be reaching out to you soon!
