Why should I take your Gestures in SwiftUI course?

"Anytime you use one of your fingers to interact with your iPhone, you're triggering a gesture. Gestures were around long before SwiftUI. They're an essential feature of UIKit!

But SwiftUI brought its own, totally new implementation of gestures that deserves your attention. Basic gestures are quick and simple to add in SwiftUI, but there's a ton of room to customize them to meet the needs of your app."

How can your course help with the issues of implementing gestures in SwiftUI?

"These SwiftUI gestures were definitely designed for SwiftUI. Gesture is a protocol! Gestures are added with modifiers! There's even a @GestureState property wrapper to track changes while a gesture is active.

It can be a lot to take in, especially if you're coming from UIKit development. My course will help get you familiar with how all of these pieces interact, whether your view needs a basic double tap or a customized rotate and magnify combination gesture."

Can you please share a cool tip with us about gestures in SwiftUI?

"One of my favorite things about using gestures in SwiftUI is how easy it is to add tap and long press gestures to any view.

This isn't the only way to add these sorts of gestures, but both have their own dedicated view modifier: onTapGesture and onLongPressGesture.

The long press modifier is particularly cool. It gives you the option to do some basic customization, and two closures to trigger changes both when a press is initially detected, and when a long press is officially recognized.

That's a lot of power in a tiny SwiftUI modifier package!"
