Quick Tip: Passive Voice

Passive voice can be difficult to understand because it weakens the action of a sentence. An example of passive voice is: "The car was driven by Jim." Active voice is much clearer and will be easily understood by a broader audience. If more than 20% of your document uses passive voice, consider changing some of the passive sentences to active voice.
