Former President Trump told top US general Mark Milley to ‘just shoot’ racism protesters, book claims.
The Guardian (Moderate Left) • Factual Grade 82% • 2 min read

Gen. Mark Milley, the top US military leader, resisted Donald Trump’s demands that his forces “crack skulls” of protesters marching against police brutality, according to a much-trailed new book. CNN reported the latest excerpts from Frankly, We Did Win This Election: The Inside Story of How Trump Lost by Michael Bender, a Wall Street Journal reporter.
    ...
Throughout a tense summer, Trump threatened to invoke the Insurrection Act, a historic piece of legislation regarding domestic unrest, but ultimately did not do so. Bender reports that at one stage Milley pointed at a portrait of Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president who led the Union to victory in the civil war, and told Trump: “That guy had an insurrection. What we have, Mr. President, is a protest.”
    ...
On Capitol Hill this week, Milley discussed the deadly 6 January attack on the US Capitol by Trump supporters seeking to overturn his election defeat, which Congress deemed an insurrection when it impeached Trump for inciting it.

Worse - I’m a recently retired professor of orthopedic surgery at a major state medical center. Training in the 70’s and 80’s our focus was on the patient and the science/art of medicine. The focus is shifting to productivity, electronic medical records and staying within insurance guidelines. Expansion of utilization of physician extenders (PAs, CNPs) translates into less physician contact and often a decrease in expertise from your health care provider.
