Dear AD PRO Community,

Summer is a busy time in the design world and from what the AD team has been hearing many of you have been busier than ever this year. Whether a project has been big or small, I know that you all want to chronicle your efforts for your portfolios. So, this week I’m sharing a related group of great AD PRO pieces that offer advice on how best to capture all that hard work for posterity—and maybe even for publication.

The process can, and often should, start before the first pieces are even ordered. Our readers love “before and after” stories, but there’s a real art to taking good before shots. While you don’t need a pro to document a raw space, you should definitely approach it thoughtfully. When it comes to shooting a finished project, however, you may want to invest in hiring an expert, and the PRO team has compiled a list of 50 AD-approved photographers for your consideration. Of course, creating stunning pictures isn’t only about snapping the shutter: You’ve got to make sure everything is composed just so to show your work to its best advantage.
