Freedom Caucus-backed resolutions ‘somberly’ call for Biden, Austin, Milley resignations.
Washington Examiner (Moderate Right) • Factual Grade 79% • 3 min read

The House Freedom Caucus backed resolutions introduced Tuesday asserting the sense of Congress that President Joe Biden, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley should resign over the chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal. 26 Republican members of Congress signed on [to the resolution].
    ...
The [Caucus] notably stopped short of calling for Biden’s impeachment as many other Republicans have. A group of nearly 90 retired generals and admirals also called on Austin and Milley to resign. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy has so far declined to call for Biden’s impeachment, resignation, or removal.
    ...
The resolutions assert in part that the administration “allowed billions of taxpayer dollars in military equipment to fall into the hands of the Taliban,” and “jeopardized the safety of US citizens and Afghan allies stranded in Afghanistan by willingly sharing their identities with Taliban officials.”

Context: Senator Rand Paul says ivermectin is not being pursued as a covid treatment due to political reasons

HIGHLIGHTED COMMENTS

Yes - To research scientists, no. They would study it they really thought it would help. In fact I'm pretty sure there was a hydroxy chloroquine (or whatever) study last year that Sen. Paul must have forgotten about. But to politicians and the media? Absolutely. Anything Trump said they immediately dismissed or completely misrepresented, to the point that people still think he told everyone to inject themselves with bleach.

No - While the topic of study may be political, the process for scientific study is necessarily apolitical, and every scientist knows it. You simply collect your data and r...
