Console - Console Is Now Freemium
Hey everyone! Last week’s email will be the last fully free email. I’ve been running the newsletter for over a year now, and I would like to thank everyone for following along. I really had no idea there would be such interest in the newsletter when I started it. I’m thrilled that others are finding as much interest learning about open-source projects as I am. Starting this week the newsletter will be freemium. The premium email will have access to all of the previous emails on Substack, contain interviews, won’t contain ads or call to actions, and will be $20 per month ($5 per email, or, roughly the cost of this Burrito blanket). The free email will continue to contain a round-up of projects, and a preview of that week’s interview. The reason for going freemium is I would like to more effectively spread the word about the projects featured in the newsletter every week. I believe the stable revenue will allow me to make longer term bets on the growth of the newsletter. For this reason, all of the subscription revenue will be driven back into the newsletter to further its growth. This means that your subscription will be used to spread the word about the open-source projects featured in the newsletter and not to me. If you’d like to subscribe now, you can do so here, and you can cancel at any time. Thank you for following along this journey! Jackson You’re on the free list for Console. For the full experience, become a paying subscriber. |
