10JS - 10JS / TC39 updates and TypeScript 4.4

Ho-ho-ho. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves here, but it seems the pipeline operator is finally stage 2 now. Can’t believe, the first time I covered it in my blog was 3 (!) years ago. Three years it took it to get to stage 2. Which means we’re on track to get it into ECMAScript 2032 🙌

To be honest, the other proposals don’t get me all that excited. But if you want you can read about Class Static Blocks explained by @rauschma.

TypeScript 4.4 is out. We already talked about control flow analysis in one of the previous issues, but there’s one more awesome feature I missed. It’s called “inlay hints” which is basically a ghost text displayed in your editor showing type information. Starting from 4.4, it’s supported on the tsserver level, already working in VSCode, and I’m hoping to see it implemented for coc-tsserver Vim plugin soon.

Here’s a quick and easy tutorial on how to start with the web scraping. Try it out and who knows, maybe you’ll build a startup around this idea one day!
