Kendall Jenner Just Shut Down The Met Gala In This Incredible Look

After a year and a half of suspense and anticipation, the 2021 Met Gala is finally here, blowing NYFW and all its psychedelic glory out of the water. No offense to Fashion Week, as I certainly appreciate and value the spring styles that will dominate my wardrobe next year. But, I'm a creature of immediate gratification, and the Met Gala's over-the-top parade of glamour is what I so desperately need in the here and now. And, luckily, the fashion gods heard my SOS and delivered in spades.

Naomi Osaka’s elaborate crown of braids, Billie Eilish’s homage to Old Hollywood, Amanda Gorman’s “winged” hair, and Iman … just Iman. Every designer and attendee's interpretation of this year's theme — "In America: A Lexicon of Fashion" — felt thoughtful and inspiring. It was like the fashion world saved up all its treasures and jewels and unleashed them on us for the night. And after 18 stagnant months of being inundated with “comfort” and “WFH uniforms,” I finally got the dose of extravagance and indulgence I so badly needed.
