There is still a lot of resistance against NFTs. People see the technology is ‘JPEG art’ and associate it with environmental pollution. They haven’t seen NFTs being used for gameplay, membership, yield farming, or identity verification, yet. Possibly they also don’t know that Ethereum will reduce its carbon footprint 95 to 99%.
