StockTips - The StockTips Edge
I get asked all the time how I go about choosing the stocks I pick. My friends in particular are often surprised when I end up explaining a process of crunching the numbers, reviewing the history, estimating future growth, & assessing current & future economic conditions. & this says nothing as to all the other factors I consider. I realized, too slow as it turns out, that I can show others what stocks I’m interested in & start a paid newsletter to help them do their own due diligence & generate ideas. After a history of repeated successes, it’s gotten to the point where my friends tell me to “shut the hell up and just tell me what to buy.” If only it were that simple! 90% of the fun of picking stocks is explaining the analysis of how I arrived at my conclusions. That way it gives my readers/listeners a chance to shoot holes in my thesis. In doing so I become a better analyst, & they learn how to assess stocks as I do. But such a task is burdensome to folks who have neither the time nor motivation to spend hours searching for promising stocks, only to spend even more time crunching math & terminology they don’t understand, while assessing the complexities of sociopolitical, geopolitical, & economic conditions. As an former Army Analyst (35F), I live for the data. I do it for the fun of it. & as a former Marine Corps Infantryman (0311), I’ve learned the hard way that one solid individual that can make accurate sense of information, is often worth more than a battalion of Marines without the benefit of such information. So just as the military has personnel that conducts the analysis that drives substantive operations carried out by, & benefiting, the grunts on the ground; the investor world has folks who conduct the analysis on profitable investment opportunities which benefit traders who have neither the time nor the skillset to do their own due-diligence. Only such a service service is often absent in the retail trading space. That’s where my edge comes in. Information & analysis takes time, & time is money! I toil away searching for promising & profitable investment/trading opportunities, so that others can look over my work, see what I’m interested in, do their own due-diligence, & perhaps cut out out many hours of research they don’t have. Indeed research is leaps & bounds easier when you can look over finished info that is narrowed down from a sea of infinite data. The point of this newsletter is therefore not to tell you what to buy, not to give you recommendations, not to ask that you forgo your own due-diligence, but rather to help crowd source your own DD & analysis. Consider me someone you can rely on to help you generate your own ideas. A place to go to see what I’m looking at, why I’m looking at it, & how I came to my conclusions. In doing so you will generate your own edge, tailored to your own investment strategy & goals, utilizing your own metrics, doing your own due-diligence, in compliance with your own risk tolerance. I am, after all, not a licensed nor professional financial advisor. Nor is anything I produce or write intended to be investment advice or a stock recommendation. I do not recommend, indeed I advise against, you utilizing this resource for anything other than personal idea generation. As the disclaimer says below, “do not trade, act, or invest, on anything I write in this newsletter.” That said, I am happy to be a cog in the giant information machine that can make it that much easier for time stressed retail traders to efficiently get their creative juices flowing. Moreover, when you succeed at that task, & you notify me about it, I’m certainly going to puff out my chest & do a personal victory lap. For there is nothing so satisfying to me in this world than enabling others to generate ideas through my personal analysis/play book. & my play book is exactly what you’re going to get when you become a paid subscriber to the Daily Stock Tips Newsletter.
