• Big Updates… WPForms has added save and resume feature allowing users to save the current progress and resume later, a good addition when dealing with super long forms. WooCommerce in-person payment option is now available for USA based stores allowing in-person payments for online orders.

1. Changing Roles… Ben Pines, literally the face of Elementor in the WordPress ecosystem is leaving the Elementor team after 6 years. Looks like he is moving away from the WordPress world, you are awesome and will be missed! Mustaasam Saleem, who represented Cloudways very well in the past has joined the MainWP team in the position of growth manager.
   
   
2. Analysis & Insights… as a WordPress product maker what is your refund policy? Raitis Sevelis analysed the data revealing, 20% plugins offered 20 days refund window and 36% plugins had an extended refund period to 30 days. Also, Justin Ferriman shared his insights on “Matt’s” Gutenberg journey so far with Elementor still going strong but the gap is closing for sure.
   
   
3. WP Ecosystem… Finally, a big in-person WordCamp event is brewing, WordCamp Europe 2022 at Porto, Portugal scheduled for 2-4 June 2022. Matt Mullenweg shared about the TechCrunch’s exhaustive coverage of the Automattic empire, 16 years later – now valued at a massive $7.5 billion.
   
   
4. A Good Surprise… Jetpack Backup feature is now a standalone product, moving forward you don’t need to install Jetpack suite just to use the backup feature. Definitely a good move, with competitive pricing and this change, it positions Jetpack backup as a solid backup service for WordPress users.
