At HackerNoon, we live and breathe the intersection of traditional journalism, social media and technology. Like any other businesses, we have various teams working together to bring our community the most satisfying experience on hackernoon.com. One of HackerNoon’s first interns started out as the Assistant to the Regional Manager (Dwight whomst?) who worked across departments during her first months. She still stays with us, and is now a full time dedicated team member (so legendary that she has her own emoji, like for real).
The ABCs of HackerNoon's Editorial Process
Today, we want to offer any young (at heart) professionals an opportunity to join our team to learn how an internet business serves millions of users per month and makes millions in annual revenue with a fully remote, international team.

Whether you are a fresh graduate, a professional who wants to break into or elevate your tech career, or someone who has been a lifelong learner, we at HackerNoon are calling for you (and your friends as well!) to join the HackerShip, our first ever virtual internship and apprenticeship program.

Now you have learned all the perks. Time to fill out this form to apply!

TL;DR of the form:

  • Your Information
  • Your Resume/CV
  • A little bit about you and your understanding of HackerNoon so that we can learn more about you and your goals

🤔  How Does It Work?

The HackerNoon team will review your application and if you're a good fit, we will contact you for interviews and next steps.

We will place you with a mentor who you will help with their daily work to gain first-hand experience with their daily work (and make sure we both avoid the Yes, It Was the Intern moment).
The mentor will be a member of the team of your interests, based on your application. And they can get their own coffee, so no worries on that.

All interns are required to write and publish at least 1 HackerNoon story per month, along with editing at least 2 stories per week, regardless of which team they are in.

Due to the high volume of applications, only short-listed candidates will be contacted for next steps. If you don't hear back from us within 3-4 weeks, please assume that your application has been unsuccessful. No worries, we will still keep your resume on file in case any vacant positions are open. OR, you can try again, ✨  but better ✨
Good luck 🍀
Apply today. Or tell your friends. We will see you on the ship (maybe) 🚢
