The DO Lectures - Caution. A Word of Warning.

Hi There,

Let's assume you come to the DO Lectures in 2022 for a wee moment.

A gentle word of caution:

My advice learnt from doing this for over a decade:

DON'T MAKE ANY BIG DECISIONS FOR TWO WEEKS.

You know...

Don’t go home and quit your job.

 Don't move country.

Don't start a new business.

Just let things settle for a little while.

Do nothing.

Do lots of that.

Here's why.

You will have arrived home with a different mindset to how you left.

The barriers that were stopping you have suddenly been removed.

And like a coiled spring, you are there READY to change everything.

But it is good to reflect.

That is an important part of doing.

Also, understand that not everyone will be ready for the NEW YOU.

Your work colleagues might think you are from Mars.

Your family may ban you from mentioning ‘The DO Lectures’ one more time.

That is normal.

But the halo effect is real.

Because you can see the path ahead much more clearly now.

Sit with it for a short while.

Maybe talk to someone you met at The DO Lectures because they will know exactly how you are feeling. They are going through the very same thing.

Then, once you have completed two weeks of healthy reflection, you can make some thought-through decisions about your future.

Hope that will be helpful to you.

My best from the far west,

David Hieatt
Co-Founder
