Steele’s main dossier source arrested in Durham investigation.
Washington Examiner (Moderate Right) • Factual Grade 81% • 3 min read

The alleged main source for British ex-spy Christopher Steele’s discredited anti-Trump dossier was arrested on Thursday as part of special counsel John Durham’s criminal inquiry into the origins and conduct of the Trump-Russia investigation. The indictment says Igor Danchenko [a Russian-born lawyer who lives in the Washington, D.C. area] made false statements in March, May, June, October, and November of 2017.
    ...
The DOJ watchdog criticized the bureau for at least 17 “significant errors and omissions” related to the FBI’s reliance on Steele’s dossier, its omission of potentially exculpatory information, and more.
    ...
[Danchenko] told the FBI that Steele mischaracterized at least one of his Russian source contacts and noted much of what he gave to Steele was “word of mouth and hearsay," some of which stemmed from a “conversation that [he] had with friends over beers," and the most salacious allegations may have been made in “jest.”

Is China's military threat to the U.S. exaggerated?

Context: Pentagon releases report stating China's nuclear arsenal growing faster than expected.

HIGHLIGHTED COMMENTS

No - China is a superpower, with a large military force, and has an ambitious leader, who has already clearly signaled he intends to rule Taiwan if not outright, then indirectly by threats of force. That doesn't even begin to touch other threats and aggressions by China's leadership in what those officials consider their sphere of influence. Nor does it consider the economic steps taken to tie up critical supplies of rare earths.

Yes - No one wants to get nuked so it's likely that no one would ever fire the first shot. I never understood ...

Unsure - I am unsure how belligerent China plans on being. If they plan on just sitting the...
