Before you Trade Today: Know the Economic Calendar!

StockTips Market Forecast: I expect this earnings season to be forgotten quickly & the uncertainty as a result of supply chain constraints, inflation, worker shortages, & semiconductor shortages will reclaim market sentiment until next earnings season. Valuations are seriously overpriced right now by any reasonable & historic metric.

Today: I’m expecting some red today but who knows how long it will last. There is a new South African covid variant & it seems much different than the others. Market futures were down 700 pts as of 10:37 PM ET. Fortunately as we’ve bought reliably profitable value growth companies already on a pullback, our downside is somewhat limited … its why I love my strategy. And my most loyal followers are well aware that I generally maintain plenty of cash to the side for dip buying opportunities, & I’m big into hedging with options. (Note: I’m going to start a YouTube tutorial on how to sell options for reliable income likely within the next month). More bad news comes from word that folks may be buying less holiday gifts this season. I guess we will see very soon as the Black Friday numbers start rolling in. While not a perfect indicator its an indicator all the same. Today is a half trading day so I’m not going to add anything to the buy list. Indeed establishing early morning positions would be ill advised under these circumstances anyway. May even have an opportunity to average down on a few plays (Which I always believe to be a good thing on the majority of stocks I vet … I trust the financials, I trust the economic conditions, & I trust my analysis). As far as the picks below are concerned, we may get them for even more value today! Lets wait & see.

PICK OF THE DAY: Activision NASDAQ/ATVI

I have a public pick in ATVI so there’s no harm in sharing it in the free section. I assess this as an excellent stock to buy amid the market pain that will no doubt hit us today. It’s already trading at a value pullback when we consider the financials. Certainly there are other issues with this company listed in the summary below, but I have faith such issues will pass in due time. The stock is already at an irresistible price, but if we can get it for even less, or perhaps average down today, I will be one happy camper. Lets not forget that this is a big name company that’s well known, closely followed, & coveted by many (Likely to include their critics). Further continuance of a dip will not likely last long. You would be hard pressed to find a better dip on such a high profile stock elsewhere. Moreover, should the EU go back into lockdown mode over the new variant (Seriously discussed in Germany among other EU countries), all the merrier for Activision.
