Regal partners with Flexa to enable digital asset payments

Regal, the operator of one of the largest and most geographically diverse theatre circuits in the United States, has partnered with Flexa to enable customers to instantly spend dozens of digital assets at more than 500 theaters. As part of the partnership, Regal guests will soon be able to link their Regal Crown Club loyalty account to their Flexa ID to earn points and take part in special rewards.

Amp added to Binance

Amp went live for trading on Binance on Tuesday, November 23rd with USDT, BUSD, BTC, and BNB trading pairs. As one of the largest exchanges in the world, Binance’s addition of Amp commemorates an exciting milestone for the community and helps to make Amp available to a new host of potential stakers across the world.

Unipilot launches with Amp vault for active liquidity management

Amp holders can now use Unipilot to automatically manage their positions on Uniswap V3. Prior to the launch of Uniswap V3, liquidity was fulfilled across the entire range of asset prices. With V3, liquidity providers can choose a custom pricing band for trading eligibility. While this makes Uniswap V3 much more capital-efficient (i.e., larger trades can occur with less slippage while allowing LPs to capture more fees), it also requires users to take a more active role in managing positions. Unipilot makes this process simple, by providing a platform to automatically manage V3 liquidity for a percentage of the fees generated.

China continues to scale “e-CNY” digital renminbi project

China’s development of a central bank digital currency continues, with recent statements reporting that over 140 million people have opened accounts for China’s digital renminbi token and used it to conduct more than 62 billion CNY (9.7 billion USD) worth of transactions.

European Central Bank executive advocates for digital Euro

Fabio Panetta, member of the executive board of the ECB, argued for the creation of a digital Euro for both financial stability and a smoothly functioning payments system. In his speech, he also makes reference to a speech he gave earlier this year on the risks of CBDCs on the financial system, which is worth a read.

Mastercard EVP shares crypto ambitions and thoughts on CBDCs, NFTs

In a recent podcast interview with The Block, Mastercard’s EVP of New Digital Infrastructure Jess Turner discussed the company’s “crypto first” ambitions, their partnership with Bakkt, and the role of stablecoins and CBDCs in the future of financial systems.

Bitso announces new stablecoin tool for cross border payments

In an effort to help reduce friction for Mexican–American trade and remittances, Bitso and Circle announced the launch of a new stablecoin product, called “Bitso Shift.” Shift will allow customers to exchange Mexican pesos for USDC, with lower fees and faster swap times than traditional USD exchange methods. This will enable users to keep more of their money and potentially make international trade even easier.
