Forget buying a new tv, this is why you need a projector

February 7, 2022

Here’s a fact you probably don’t know about me: I don’t have a TV in my living room. At all. Walk into my living room, and you see lovely walls covered in artwork and smart lights.

Now, I’m kind of leading you on a little because while I don’t have a TV in my living room, it’s not like I can’t watch movies and shows in that room. Like most people, it’s my primary entertainment center! And for that purpose, I have a projector and floor rising screen that hides away when not in use. That’s right when I want to catch up on the latest episode of Boba Fett, I watch on a massive 150-inch screen—that disappears later. And that’s our top story today: we’re here to tell you why you should ditch the big TV and go to a projector instead. Check it out.

On a side note, many of you reached out with your guess on which streaming service I made up in the Saturday newsletter. If you guessed Crunchyroll, as quite a few did, I’m sorry to say that one is real! I’m even sorrier to say I made up the CartoonCartoon streaming service. Pity, I’d probably subscribe to that one.

Other Highlights:

  •  Are you thinking about buying a Steam Deck? Good luck; that whole thing is going to be super crazy.
  • NASA is going to purposely crash the International Space Station. Someday.
  • Google finally made its VPN service available for iPhone. But where’s my Windows app???
  • …and more!

Google One VPN Arrives on iPhone, But Where’s the Windows App?

Back in 2020, Google launched a free VPN service for all Google One customers on a 2TB+ cloud storage plan. It’s a killer bonus, especially if you (like me) sprang for a top-shelf Google One membership after Google Photos killed its free unlimited storage offering. Now, the Google One VPN works on iPhone … but what about Windows? Read More »
