The RECC’E - You’re in. Here’s whats next……

Well….news just got interesting again, now you can wake up to smart statistics without skimming all the boring stuff, just quick facts you need, nothing more, enjoy!

Your Day 1

7MONTHS ago I came up with the idea for The RECC’E while scrolling endlessly through bloated news stories and thinking ‘there must be a better way’.

RECC’E OF THE DAY: WHO ARE WE

Created by people who were fed up of skim reading long news stories looking for the numbers and data we wanted. So out of this frustration came The RECC’E.

1EMAIL will be sent to you each morning in this format. Thats right, 365 days a year and it doesn’t even matter if its a Sunday. A collection of stat’s like this is called a ‘RECC’E’.

7AM delivery each morning Eastern standard time, 4AM Pacific time or around midday in the UK.

1RECC’E of the day at the top of each email will break down a fascinating story into clean data points so you can level up your knowledge and start your day smarter than you woke up.

3ROUNDUPS of the rest of the days news - ‘Need to know’, ‘Should know’ and ‘Good to know’ - will be included so you don’t miss a thing, these are quick fire statistics as opposed to full data sets.

1CLICK of the number to the left and your linked to the source of the data so you can explore each topic in more detail should you have the time.

The RECC’E  X  YOU

The RECC’E was made to make your life easier. Get the key data you need to join the conversation and the facts to make sure you’re the smartest one in it. News that takes seconds to consume so you’re not endlessly reading, you’re learning.

318YEARS since the daily news format began and it’s barely changed.  We may have moved online but the how and what we read is pretty similar.

365DAYS a year people skim read stories, we’ve done it everyday for as long as you can remember and we know you have to too.

622WORDS are in a typical news article; a RECC’E is up to 80% less. Wouldn’t you rather read less, learn more and save time?

78PERCENT of people actually skim read or scan read stories everyday single day, that’s nearly nearly 4 out of every 5 people.

16PERCENT of people read articles word for word, firstly we don’t know who has this much time on their hands but rest assured The RECC’E’s is not for them.

The RECC’E  X  YOUR INBOX

You didn’t sign up for nothing and we want you to get the numbers we’ve RECC’Ed for you each and every day. So depending on your mailbox lets make sure we reach you….

1GMAIL tip is to move this email to the primary tab from promotions. We love that GMAIL moves around all our mail for us as its super helpful but its nice to feel ‘primary’ sometimes, you know…

99PERCENT sure we should reach you if we’re added to your contacts list within gmail so why not take 10 seconds to do this now.

1APPLE mail tip is to click our sender name and ‘add to VIP’. This would make us feel VERY special to be important to you :-)

99PERCENT sure we’ll reach you if you click our sending name + add as contact.

100PERCENT deliverability isn’t always possible so if you don’t see us around check your junk folder and add us as a contact to stop it happening again.

Your first report of The RECC’E will be with you tomorrow morning.

If you want to reach out to me for literally anything just come say hi on twitter, i’m @nerdynumbersguy
