Members of Europe's startup community in Ukraine are taking up arms, donating blood and hacking Russian websites to defend their country. We suspect that you, like us at Sifted, are looking for ways to support them — so we've gathered a list of initiatives below.

The tech sector has for long been notorious for poor gender parity, with the division of leadership roles between men and women remaining hugely unbalanced. According to PWC, just 5% of leadership positions in the UK's tech sector are held by women. 

It's time for that to change! We've compiled a master list of 130 women CTOs across Europe and spoken to several of them about their career journeys.

If you ask startup founders across the world how much they pay themselves, you'll most likely be met with a flurry of different answers: €20k, €180k, barely anything at all.

In short, there's been no reliable data on the average founder salaries in Europe — until now. Early-stage VC Seedcamp has just released a new report including salary data from 185 founders at seed to Series A-stage companies.

European biotech startups had a big 2021, receiving £9bn in VC investment. Drug discovery startups were, understandably, a hot topic.
