Ukraine's Propaganda Offensive | Google Censorship In Russia | Nvidia Breach

Ukraine's resistance to the Russia invasion isn't just fought on the ground—but on the propaganda front, too.

Two men
leading the charge are former ad-tech executives, who were trying to help President Volodymyr Zelensky update the nation's tech industry before Russia rolled in the tanks. Now they spend their days running an "IT Army" as they attempt to shut down Russian websites, get Elon Musk to send over internet satellites and urge tech giants to stop providing services to Russia. I've profiled the intrepid entrepreneurs here.

And how's this for some old school information warfare? According to the pair's government department,
Ukrainians in call centers are phoning Russians to give them their side of the invasion.

Not everything happens on the internet, even in 2022.

If you have any tips on what's happening in Ukraine, or any stories about government surveillance, privacy or cybercrime, drop me an email on

Such is the horrific nature of the war in Ukraine, there aren't many winners around of late. But at least there are some attempts at largesse.
