Study finds Pfizer vaccines protect kids from omicron infection

A real-world study of Pfizer’s Covid vaccine in kids published today found that it reduced risk of infection in kids 31% for ages 5-11 and by 59% among children 12-15. And those kids who were infected had milder illnesses and needed less rest and recovery time. This study supplements previous studies that found the vaccine helped reduce risk of infection from the delta variant. The study, which looked at over 1300 kids in four different states, helped underscore the protective nature of the vaccines against Covid-19.
