When Stephen Heitkamp, Arun Shanmuganathan and Sean West founded legaltech startup Hence Technologies in 2020, they decided to go against the status quo and build the business without a CEO.

Gone are the days of truckers sleeping in their vehicles — at least if Spanish startup Trucksters has its way.

It's just raised €14.3m from investors like Axel Springer, Kibo Ventures and Porsche to establish a relay system where drivers swap trucks with drivers travelling the opposite way.
