New Micro Startups For Sale 🚀 - This is a New Chapter

Ilya Novohatskyi
Ilya Novohatskyi
Hello dear readers.
This week my mental health stabilized. Thanks to my family, partners, and friends who support me along the way.
Today, I want to share February results, recently sold projects, and a few awesome micro-startups available.
Soon, I’ll tell you something fantastic about our following plans.
P.S. As long as many people in Russia support Putin, they are also responsible for 90 dead children and their parents. So I kindly ask you to boycott all Russian goods and services.

🏂 February update
February was hard. Not because of the work but because of the situation in my country where Russia started the war at the end of the month.
I didn’t expect this. Moreover, a lot of people in Ukraine didn’t expect this either. So it changed a lot of plans and hopes.

We achieved some of our goals, but it’s nothing compared to the terrible things that Russian occupiers made.
I pray for my country and hope that the war would be ended at the end of March.
Some gov people say that the end of March is the best scenario. The worst case is the end of May.
💵 Recently sold projects
February and the start of March were fruitful in terms of newly sold projects.
Three deals completed and four in progress. I’m glad that activity stayed high. That’s one of the advantages of bootstrapped startup compared to an agency.
I temporarily suspended all contracts in my agency because all of the employees are based in Ukraine and can’t fully work until they move to a safer place.
So, right now, I’m trying to protect them and relocate to the west.

Based on the feedback from buyers, they highlighted a few elements that made a deal successful.
First of all, founders prepared the startup to be acquired. Then, they recorded onboarding videos on how a website works, operations, and other valuable things buyers should know.
Secondly, the founders were responsive during the process. Communication is key. Try to proactively discuss anything that important to you and show this to the buyer. Try to be helpful and offer growth opportunities for the project.
And last but not least, discuss post-sale support and other related things upfront. Be transparent. Don’t be afraid of discussing the asking price or other financial aspects.

Sold my side project through @micronsio, thanks @ilyanovohatskyi for helping me with his platform! It was a great adventure!
Based on feedback from founders, I want to notice one important thing.
Don’t be “pushy”. Every founder is a person like you. Imagine when you caught a fever explaining the situation to potential buyers, but somebody still followed up with messages.
Of course, this person doesn’t want to miss the opportunity to acquire a few cool projects, but in my opinion, the first thing should be loyalty.
Treat people so as you would like them to treat you.

Please be polite and patient with founders if you’re a buyer. And they’ll be just as good to you as you are to them.
P.S. Ferenc said that he’d write a blog post about the acquisition explaining why he decided to sell the products, how he found Microns, etc.
