  WordPress 5.9.2 is now available! This security and maintenance release features 1 bug fix in addition to 3 security fixes. Because this is a security release, it is recommended that you update your sites immediately. All versions since WordPress 3.7 have also been updated.
• Coming Soon: Block Pattern Directory Submissions (make.wordpress.org)
  Soon WordPress.org plans to open the Pattern Directory to submissions from the public. The Pattern Creator page will allow designers and content creators to build, edit, and submit their best block patterns to the directory. Approved patterns will be added to the directory, where they will be instantly available to the authors of millions of WordPress sites.
• Patchstack Whitepaper: WordPress Ecosystem Records 150% Increase in Security Vulnerabilities in 2021 (wptavern.com)
  Patchstack has published its State of WordPress Security whitepaper with a summary of threats to the WordPress ecosystem recorded in 2021.
