Defiance - Biden Wants This War
Ok, so maybe Joe Biden, as an individual, is not determined to provoke war in Ukraine. He probably doesn't care either way. He just wanted to be president and was willing to go along with anything to make that happen. Now he's willing to do whatever his globalist handlers tell him to do in order to keep the American presidency. After all, he wouldn't be president today if not for them. Regardless of his personal views, however, his administration does appear to be all in for war in Ukraine. Whether American involvement in Ukraine remains today's proxy war, or if it escalates into the involvement of U.S. troops on the ground remains to be seen. Nevertheless, the American objective does appear to be to destroy Russia. From the perspective of the Biden Administration, the destruction of Russia in the absence of American boots on the ground in Ukraine is probably preferable to direct American military intervention. On the other hand, direct American military involvement in Ukraine might be deployed if it's necessary to achieve the goal of Vladimir Putin's destruction. The evidence that the Biden Administration wants this war is quite compelling. American foreign policy experts have long warned that the eastward expansion of NATO would provoke war with Russia. None other than George Kennan, the Cold War architect of Soviet containment, stated that "expanding NATO would be the most fateful error of American policy in the entire post-Cold War era. Such a decision may be expected to inflame the nationalistic, anti-Western and militaristic tendencies in Russian opinion; to have an adverse effect on the development of Russian democracy; to restore the atmosphere of the Cold War to East-West relations, and to impel Russian foreign policy in directions decidedly not to our liking ... "¹ Yet that is exactly what America, as the most powerful member of NATO, has done with its implied threat to move the Western alliance to the doorstep of Moscow. So why would the United States want "to impel Russian foreign policy in directions decidedly not to our liking?" Why is the United States provoking war with Russia? The answer to that question could lie in the unfortunate reality that war with China may soon be in the offing. After all, China is clearly the biggest foreign threat to the national security of the United States today.² I specify "foreign threat" here because the greatest threat to America today is actually domestic in nature; it's the internal threat posed by radical, American leftism. But that's a story for another day. As for China, we know that it has been expanding both economically and militarily throughout Southeast Asia for the past several decades. And it has been economically expanding around the globe as well. Now it seeks to dominate the entire world. China and the West are clearly on a collision course. And in the event of war with China, it is doubtful that Russia would remain neutral. Instead, a China/Russia alliance seems likely. Perhaps the American strategy is to preemptively take out Russia before it can join and assist China as its junior partner in global economic and military dominance. Perhaps the West hopes to weaken the Chinese threat by reducing or even eliminating Russian geopolitical power. Of course, this is just a theory. But it's a theory worth consideration because there is logic in such a strategy. There is, however, a better way to confront the Chinese threat that doesn't involve the death and destruction wrought by war. And that better way involves restoring American self-sufficiency through increased domestic production of everything for which we currently rely upon China. That would weaken China economically and in turn weaken it militarily as well. That would, of course, also increase the cost of many goods routinely purchased by Americans. But war comes at a cost as well. And those costs include human lives. I have exciting news to share: You can now read DEFIANCE in the new Substack app for iPhone.
