Play Developer Reporting API: Build your own reporting by accessing app-level data outside the Play Console

App archiving: This new feature, available in Bundletool 1.10, takes the first step toward offering archiving to everyone using app bundles

In-app messaging: Improve user retention for subscriptions by notifying users about declined payments when they open your app. Available in Play Billing Library 4.1.

April 2022

Apps must comply with the October policy updates related to Android emojis and the families policy requirements for kids, social apps, and features.

July 2022

Apps must comply with the user data policy related to the new Data safety section on Google Play.

Tip: Users will start to see your Data safety section in the Play Store in late April. You can use tools like Checks to help you get started or get an extra review for what data to include in your Data safety form.
