Holy Writ - A Quick Update
Hello Holy Wr*t! Readers, Eagle-eyed observers may have noticed that there was no email this past Tuesday at noon. Oh no! I wanted to pass along a quick update. I’ve decided to take a small break from publishing new stories during the month of April. This will give me a chance to focus on creating fresh material. One of the joys of writing is watching a story evolve from idea to draft to wholescale revision. I’m often just as surprised as anybody with the final product. It’s a process that takes time, which means I need to have a number of stories in the pipeline at any given moment. Over the past four months, I’ve published 16 stories on Substack. I’m quite pleased with that! However, I’ve run down my existing stock of material. Hitting the pause button right now means that I’m able to send you higher-quality stuff in the future. In the meantime, I’ll be sending out one or two fun nonfiction pieces. Look for the first one next week! And if you’ve got story ideas you’d like to suggest, just reply to this email (or write to holywrit@substack.com). I’d be happy to hear from you! Thanks again for reading, and all the best, Michael |
