1. WebP Image Format… a more optimized and smaller image size compared to JPEG image format – WebP will most likely have deeper integration in WordPress version 6.0 and onwards. Also, for those not interested in the WebP image format usage on their WordPress website, there is disable WebP plugin by David Baumwald.
