🦅 Growth Notes from Hypefury - April edition 📖
Three Growth Tips 🌱
1. Evergreen = ALWAYS WORKS
Repost your evergreen content every few months.
Ideally you should tweak the hook and change the content a bit.
Twitter shows your tweets and threads only to a fraction of your followers and you'll always have new followers who haven't seen them
So, you should regularly post your evergreen content AGAIN.
How do you know if a content is evergreen?
- If a piece of content is relevant to readers any time of the year.
- If a piece of content has given you a growth boost on Twitter with respect to followers, engagement or backend opportunities.
Let's look at an example:
Naval Ravikant posted a thread about how can one get rich without getting lucky.
The topic of the thread is evergreen.
No matter who looks at it, or what time he looks at it, he's going to be interested in reading the thread.
This thread has been an introduction to the awesomeness of Twitter for many people. And that's why it's done well with numbers as well as getting adapted into other threads and also a book.

You will find many other threads which ride on the same principle Naval used but in different industries and formats.

2. Write THREADS
David Perell (300k+ followers on Twitter) was asked:
“If you had to do it all over again, what would you do?” His response?
“Write threads”.
Threads bring in followers and business. They rekindle your profiles. They prove your competence and make people want to follow you or work with you.
So how do you write a good one? 3 steps:
Hook: Make people stop scrolling to read your first tweet.
Let's look at some examples:
January 9th 2021
|
This thread got 38k+ likes.
The magic is in the first tweet.
The opening line is eye-catching.
Julian is exposing the lies you're told about the world.
So it naturally gets you reading the thread because you're curious to know what these 10 lies are.
Here's why it works:
• It's short.
• It tells you why your worldview is flawed.
• It makes you think from a different perspective.
If you want more thread ideas download our 101 viral thread hooks ebook.
Body
Divide your topics in digestible steps and a spaced structure.
Make sure you don't write anything that's boring.
If a thread starts on a high with a good hook but then fails to entertain or provide information it promised, people are clicking out of it midway.
Make sure you don't let that happen.
CTA (Call to Action)
Tell people to do one thing after they finish reading the thread. (either follow you or retweet your first tweet or something else)
3. Spaces are a GROWTH MACHINE
Social media platforms have crazy network effects.
So, if you’re serious about growing on a platform, you should use the feature that has the maximum growth probability.
For Instagram, it’s Reels.
For Twitter, it’s Spaces.
Try to participate and host Spaces.
Here’s an awesome thread that will teach you to host great spaces by Liam -

Two Tweet Writing Tips ✍️
1. Turn long paragraphs into bulleted lists
- If you are listing anything, ever, it should become a bulleted list.
- If you are rambling off a dozen quick examples, it should become a bulleted list.
- If you are making a series of distinct points to drive home a point, it should become a list.
Here’s why:
The only thing that you should ask yourself before writing something is:
“How do I make this easy for the reader to skim through?”
The best way to do that is bulleted lists.
2. Increase engagement by increasing your RoR
(h/t @ship30for30 )
Rate of Revelation = how quickly you introduce new information to the reader.
Low score: 1 idea stretched across hundreds of paragraphs / pages.
High score: 10+ ideas compressed into a handful of paragraphs / pages.
Folks under 10K you should follow right away!🌟
