Read in Browser

April 8, 2022

Gas prices are skyrocketing right now. And sometimes, it doesn’t seem like there’s any end to how high those prices will go. Don’t worry: there’s a simple solution! Buy an electric vehicle. No wait, that’s expensive, complicated, and requires running electricity to your garage to charge the car. Never mind, that’s probably not a good solution for most people. Especially with car prices right now.

Ok, so if buying a new car is out, what can you do with your current vehicle to make the gas … well, go further? We have some helpful tips in the top story (I promise it’s not “buy a hybrid”).

Other highlights:

  • Marcus took a look at the new iPhone SE, and can you believe an iPhone can actually be dissatisfying? This one is.
  • Facebook is working on digital currency again. But this time, it’s not cryptocurrency.
  • We gathered together ten easy-to-play board games that are great for getting your friends into the hobby. Check ’em out!
  • …and more!

STUFF WE LIKE This Tape Measure is the Perfect Addition to Your Tool Set
This Tape Measure is the Perfect Addition to Your Tool Set

A quality tape measure is something everyone should have at the ready in their toolbox. We love this simple 16-foot version from Komelon, as it features SpeedMark fractional graduations on the acrylic-coated blade, a non-glare white blade, and on-blade stud markings. Its thick rubber jacket is easy to grip and highly resistant to accidental drops and impacts. Plus, the protective end hook keeps the blade in shape and makes it easy to latch on to a corner or hook for measuring longer distances. It’s also available in 25- and 30-foot lengths, which is perfect for larger projects.
