What is your favorite item in your workspace?

My Blue Yeti mic is my favorite workspace item. Podcasting opened so many doors for me and I've always done interviews with a Blue Yeti mic, so when I look at that every day I see a world of possibilities. 

How do you spark creativity?

Creativity, for me, comes from a few activities - walking around my neighborhood, journaling, showering, and reading. When I go on walks I'll take notes about different ideas in the notes app on my iPhone. When I journal, I'll often do a big brain dump and come up with more ideas for whatever I'm working on. In the shower, I have time to process the different ideas bouncing around in my head. Finally, while reading, I always have a physical notebook nearby to capture any ideas that stem from what I'm reading. 

How do you keep the work-life balance?

It's difficult to articulate my answer to this question. I don't focus on work-life balance as much as I focus on being very in tune with how I feel about the way I'm spending my time. Thankfully, I've gotten to a point in my career where I love the work I'm doing and the team I'm building with, so much of my time is spent "working," though in VC, networking is considered work, but it's also fun, so there's a blur between the work-life side of things. At a high level, I just make time for the people and activities I care about and work a lot because I enjoy it. 

I’ve been helping the team at Heyday out with content-related projects for the last few months and their browser extension has made publishing Workspaces SO much easier.

The team just launched out of beta on Product Hunt this past Monday and was the #1 Product of the Day! I’d absolutely love for you to try their product and share feedback so they can continue making a great product!
