Odd Jobs - Odd Ways to Get Paid to Get Married
Jen “Odd” Glantz here! I got an email from a company that mentioned how you can get paid to go on a honeymoon. That sent me down this odd spiral to see if there are ways you can get paid to get married. What I meant by that was mostly companies that will pay for your flowers or your dress, but what I ended up finding were some super bizarre ways you could get paid to marry someone - among other things that we’ll chat about below. Why am I sharing this info. today? Not to tell you that you should do any of these things (I’m just dishing the odd today) but to show you how many interesting and outside of the box things there are in this world. Read on - and tell me what you think! Today’s newsletter is sponsored by: THINKIFIC Wondering why you should start an online course (example: PASSIVE INCOME) and trends in courses that are popping up for 2022? Check this out. Get Paid to Get Married in ItalyThe region, home to the city of Rome, is offering couples who get married in Lazio €2,000 (about $2,214) that they can put toward wedding expenses. I mean this sounds amazing - especially if getting married in Italy was already on your bucket list. Learn More (and please invite me!!!) Get $1,000 for Your HoneymoonPrinted Memories are running a competition to pay one lucky couple to get paid $1000 on their honeymoon! So what do you get? $1,000, a free memory book of your honeymoon photos, and more. Get Your Wedding SponsoredA couple set up an entire website (sponsormywedding.com - but it’s no longer in use) and asked brands to sponsor their wedding with ads and free stuff. Why? Imagine having 250 people in a room that you can run a direct promo and all of them could see it. Let’s say most guests are local. You could have a local dry cleaner sponsor your dress and run ads for their dry cleaning service all over your venue. Will this look tacky and odd? Sure. But is it worth a free wedding dress? Maybe. A Free $10k for Your Wedding. Just Don’t Get DivorcedI stumbled upon this company (no longer in business) that was offering couples $10,000 to be used toward wedding planning. The catch? They have to pay it back if they ever get divorced. While it was a viral idea, it never panned out because the founder couldn’t raise the cash to actually fund these weddings. I’m sort of obsessed with this idea! Get Paid $13k to Marry SomeoneThis is probably not legal (so hello everyone, we are not promoting this or saying you should do this. We are simply sharing this article) but I found an article where a woman paid her friend $13k to marry her so she could become a US citizen. The article shared that this is more common than we know. Get Lucky With Wedding GiveawaysIf you are getting married, there are so many giveaways out there that you could have everything at your wedding for free. BUT you just have to get lucky. Here are some giveaways to check out: This company is giving away $10k for your wedding This company is giving away $25k for your wedding LET’S GET RANDOM:Random Odd Jobs Random Oddies Random Odd Articles for you to Read Until next week, Jen Glantz is a whimsical entrepreneur, 3x author, podcast host, and all-around pizza-obsessed goofball.Hire Jen:-Business, Career, and Life Coaching //- Company Workshops // - Online Courses |
