A record number of immigrants have become billionaires in America. There are now 92 foreign-born U.S. citizens on Forbes’ annual billionaires list, with a combined net worth of $711 billion. Time to stop saying “highly-skilled labor immigration”, and instead say “talent acquisition”, argues one early Uber investor.

Tesla reported its most profitable quarter ever
. The carmaker delighted investors after delivering record numbers of cars. There are challenges ahead with supply chain woes and factory shutdowns in Shanghai after the city suffered a wave of Covid-19.

Some airlines are happy to forgive and forget anti-maskers
. Remember those unruly passengers who got themselves banned after refusing to mask up on flights? All is forgiven on two of America’s biggest airlines, with more expected to follow suit. Something to look forward to on your next flight.

“Revenge travel” is coming this summer
. Travel-starved holidaymakers are booking with a vengeance after two years of growing wanderlust during the pandemic. The key stat: air travel between the U.S. and Europe grew a staggering 862% this March, compared the year before.

The good

20% of the U.K.’s electric car charging points are free of charge. EVs are a sure-fire way to beat rising fuel costs. The country’s charging network offers a surprising number of destinations offering ‘green miles’ for free.

The bad

America is ‘losing its allure’ to tourists and migrants. One theorist points the finger at Hollywood, where celebrities have been quietly snapping up properties across Europe, followed closely by students seeking a taste of la dolce vita and bored remote workers looking for a better quality of life.
