The Truth About Testing

Wednesday, May 4th @ 1:00 PM EST
Everyone knows experimentation drives growth. But no one is talking about the realities of what goes into actually finding wins. Andres Glusman will share data and trends from his days leading product at Meetup and from his venture DoWhatWorks (which discovers experiments from the worlds top 1600+ companies). The Art of Product Management

Wednesday, May 18th @ 1:00 PM EST
In product management, there’s an art and a science. The "science" is all of the stuff you read about: managing a backlog, writing a PRD, KPIs, marketplace dynamics, growth metrics, analytical thinking, the latest agile whatever. The “art” gets dismissed as soft skills: communicating, empathy, leading without authority, having difficult conversations, storytelling, making decisions when you don’t have all the information, dealing with ambiguity, inspiring others, and connecting deeply to customers and their problems. However, when Product Managers fail -- it's usually because of the "art." In this session, we'll talk about why that's the case, and what we can do about it.

As an Executive Coach to Product Leaders — Ken Norton helps coach and mentor some of today's top product leaders. He's seen and experienced nearly every product management and product leadership challenge you can imagine in his storied 14-year career at Google and GV (formerly Google Ventures) after serving as an entrepreneur and product leader at Yahoo, CNET, and elsewhere.
