What’s Buzzing in WordPress 💖

Brand New… I spent some time playing with the all-new Spectra plugin (rebrand of Ultimate Addons for Gutenberg). I won’t be surprised if this plugin soon becomes one of the main players within the 3rd party blocks addon ecosystem. Also, a new type of WhatsApp Contact Form that sends your website leads directly to your WhatsApp account, is an interesting solution!
Themes Bliss… check the all-new CookBook Theme specific for food bloggers that support multiple authors, Elementor integration, recipe index, and custom recipe details. Also, making it super easy, Brizy Starter Templates have been added to the Brizy plugin for WordPress with an option to keep or delete existing content.
Performance in Focus… the latest BuddyBoss update promises a massive performance increase of up to 181% with a reduction in page load time and database requests per page along with object caching improvements. Also, the new Visual Composer 44.0 update is now officially loading 0 Kb of CSS and JS on the pages and posts where Visual Composer is not in use.

WP Talkies… triggering a lot of discussions this week was MemberPress plugin locking out users from its setting panel in the WordPress dashboard on license expiration. This change shakes up the ‘normal’ state of affairs in the WordPress space, maybe it's time for the shake-up or define The WordPress Way as explained profoundly by Jason Coleman.
Product Updates… Ultimate Dashboard 3.6 has added the Placeholder Tags feature to display dynamic information like first name, user name, site url, and more. For Divi users, check the Divi Dynamic Helper Plugin that allows displaying the dynamic content with custom fields in the existing Divi modules.
Free For… The Events Calendar plugin users, check the free Members Only Tickets extension that allows you to limit access to view or purchase tickets by membership level defined in either of membership plugins like Restrict Content Pro, Paid Memberships Pro, WooCommerce Memberships, and MemberPress.
WP Milestones… Syed Balkhi shared about Awesome Motive company’s products now powering over 20 million websites, congrats! While the Custom Post Type UI is celebrating 1,000,000 active installations and the pro version ‘CPTUI Extended’ now includes a block.
Blocks Life… Munir Kamal at Gutenberg Hub has launched an online builder app to quickly use patterns for various types like buttons, text, header, and more. While Gutenberg 13.1 update comes with a new border design component.
